amy summers (BOard member)

My name is Amy Summers. Grew up in Louisville, KY, attended undergrad at Auburn University and received a Master's in Education from George Washington University in DC. Taught at a public high school and loved working with students on an individual level. Seeing the exponential difference one-on-one learning made, spurred me on to get a degree in Behavior Analysis and recently become certified as BCBA. Enjoy working with individuals and families that have special needs and want to help provide a more inclusive community for them to feel accepted and thrive. Have learned a lot from working with these families and believe they are a huge asset to our community. Making the world more accessible to individuals with special needs helps us all learn from their resiliency and makes everyone better.

My name is Rhonda Nichols. I am a stay at home mom to two wonderful girls 9 and 13 and have been married for 15 years. My daughter Lily that is 9 years old has Cerebral Palsy ( CP) and epilepsy.

I graduated from Troy State University with a degree in Sports and Fitness Management with a  concentration in Health Promotions and Exercise Physiology.

I want to bring awareness to the community about ALL special needs individuals. I feel the community needs more education about the different disabilities to help them understand and be more accepting.
