Traveling this Memorial Day Weekend? Stop by any Alabama Welcome Center and find my latest article in Alabama Living magazine by Aaron Tanner

For those who may not know me, I am a freelance writer for Alabama Living magazine. The publication targets rural residents of the state through the Area Rural Electrical Co-Op association

I recently had the opportunity to read the latest print copy of Alabama Living magazine that features my most recent article about Payne's Soda Fountain in Scottsboro. Of all the story layouts for the pieces I wrote, I believe this is the best one yet.

It is one thing to read one of my articles online. It's another thing to read a feature in print with the photos perfectly placed in a glossy form. My picture taking has improved from the first story I did with Alabama Living.

If you are traveling through Alabama this Memorial Day weekend, pick up a copy or two of Alabama Living at any Alabama Welcome Center. I will be passing a location on the way back from Mississippi this weekend and plan to pick up additional copies.

For those traveling to and from Panama City Beach, there is an Alabama Welcome Center on U.S. 231 south of Dothan that one can get to going both directions. For those staying closer to Huntsville this long weekend, there is an Alabama Welcome Center on I-65 south in Ardmore. My story is also available online.

My goal is to share more of my experiences with being a freelance writer as well as sharing my past articles with fellow readers of Tennessee Valley Unite. In the meantime, have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.
